It may be a bit early for most people to be thinking about disposing of their Christmas Trees, but when the time comes, the town and county encourages residents to recycle their trees either at the rodeo grounds in the town of Jackson or the Teton County Trash Transfer Station south of town. Mike Dukart of Teton County Integrated Solid Waste and Recycling says tree composting will again be available free beginning Thursday and continue through the end of January. Dukart reminds that those trees must be totally stripped of any ornaments, tinsel, lights or other decorations. The trees ultimately will be composted by Terra Firma Organics and be made available to gardeners next season for a nominal fee.
