Gasoline prices continue to fall nationally as the highest number of travelers in years sets out for Christmas vacations and visits to relatives. According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the national average for a gallon of unleaded regular I currently $2.40 per gallon. That’s $1.06 lower than it was in September. Here in Jackson Hole, however, the price per gallon is somewhat higher with the area’s average now standing at $2.57 for unleaded regular according to the latest survey from Motortrend. Their survey of Teton Valley shows an average of $2.46 there. The national average for Diesel, meanwhile currently stands at $3.28 per gallon.
