Search Still On

In spite of extensive search efforts, teams have yet to find Wilson, Wyoming resident, Bernard Rietmann. Rietmann was reported missing by his family on Wednesday evening, September 23 when he failed to return home after a day of hunting in the Granite Creek area.  Search efforts will resume Sunday morning.

Teton County Search and Rescue (TCSAR) asks anyone who is interested helping with the search to call (307) 732-8846 by 10pm Saturday evening, or to report to the Search and Rescue hangar at 7am Sunday morning.  Volunteers must be exceptionally fit and be able to hike for eight hours in difficult terrain.

Additionally, anyone who was in the Granite Creek area on Wednesday or Thursday and may have any information about the whereabouts of Mr. Rietmann are asked to contact Teton County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch at (307) 733.2331.

Mr. Rietmann was last known to be traveling on the Highline Trail in the Granite Creek area on the morning of Wednesday, September 23rd and reported as wearing a blue jacket, a hunting cap, and boots. He was also carrying a rifle when he left on his hunting trip.
