Maureen Murphy, Director of Special Events for the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce, successfully graduated from Leadership Jackson Hole this May.
The group is now completing their project, “Take a Seat JH.” The campaign aims to raise funds to purchase and install outdoor seating to be located at bus stops, public areas, and on walking routes. Everyone in the community will be invited to enjoy the benches and special consideration has been given to the elderly and handicapped. Learn more on Facebook at www.facebook.com/takeaseatJH.
President/CEO Jeff Golightly commented, “Maureen is a natural leader and her consistent drive to improve serves as an example to her colleagues.”
Maureen has earned many accolades during her tenure with the Chamber and she continues to seek improvement opportunities. The Jackson Hole Rotary Lunch Club named Maureen “Citizen of the Month” in September 2014, the Town of Jackson presented her with the “Going the Extra Mile” award in October 2015, and she is set to graduate from the Institute for Organizational Management (IOM) in January 2017. IOM is the premier nonprofit professional development program for association, chamber, and nonprofit professionals fostering individual growth through interactive learning and networking opportunities.
Jeff noted, “The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce is proud to support Maureen and any staff member who wishes to improve their leadership skills.”
