With water-dropping helicopters dotting the smoke filled sky, the Cliff Creek Fire is spreading to the north and east, and evacuation orders have expanded to include Granite Canyon in Teton County and some areas north of Bondurant in Sublette County.
The evacuation in Sublette County remains in effect and includes the Cozy Campground and residences, south along Highway 189/191 toward the north area of Bondurant. For these people, the Red Cross has set up an evacuation center at the Pinedale High School Wrangler Gym at 655 N. Tyler Street in Pinedale.
The closure of Highway 89/191 between Hoback Junction and Daniel Junction remains in effect.
Teton County Emergency Management issued a mandatory evacuation order for the Granite Creek area including Granite Campground, Granite Hot Springs, Jack Pine Summer Homes, and the Safari Club.

Tomorrow night at the Hoback Fire Station # 3, Hoback Junction, WY. Time 6:00 pm,
Friday at the Pinedale Administration Building ” Old Elementary School” , Pinedale WY. Time 6:00 pm
In command of the fire is Tony DeMasters who said that firefighters’ instructions from the Forest are to confine and contain the fire while ensuring firefighter and public safety as the highest priority.
With air assets and over 300 personnel in the field, DeMasters will Continue working to secure the south flank of the fire, and continue structure protection for Granite Creek and Bondurant.
