New Fire Near Lander

A new fire has been discovered west of Lander on the Washakie Ranger District of the Shoshone National Forest. An initial flight over the area reports the fire to be east of Shoshone Lake and approximately 50-75 acres in size.

Several resources have been ordered for this new fire to include one light helicopter, one heavy helicopter, initial attack resources from Shoshone National Forest, and smoke jumpers.
