Public Health officials are encouraging people in the community to get vaccinated for flu and are providing walk in flu clinics to the public starting now.
People looking for a flu shots may visit the Public Health Department located at 460 Pearl Ave. anytime between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday through the end of October. All of our vaccine this year is mercury, preservative free. We will have quadrivalent vaccine, meaning that it contains four strains of the flu virus, and high dose vaccine for adults 65+. Anyone looking to receive a vaccine in addition to a flu shot may call the office for an appointment.
We accept most insurances for payment, cash, checks or credit cards. A $1.50 service charge is added for credit or debit card charges. Public Health is able to bill insurance companies for vaccines.
