 Online Intake Form a Must for Affordable Housing

As part of the ongoing efforts to streamline the affordable housing lottery process and to collect annual demographic and housing demand data, the Jackson/Teton County Affordable Housing Department released an online intake form today.

All prospective affordable homeowners and renters are required to annually complete the intake form before becoming eligible to enter a lottery for a restricted home, regardless of any prior history with the Housing Department.

“We are excited to release this online tool as part of our continuing commitment to provide excellent customer service,” explained Housing Director, April Norton. “This form will also provide us with annual demographic and demand data, which will help inform new housing developments and programs moving forward.” An online lottery entry form is currently in development and the department hopes to launch that tool this spring.

The Workforce Housing Action Plan calls for the department to coordinate access to housing opportunities. As part of this work, the Housing Department worked with Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Teton Area and the Jackson Hole Community Housing Trust to develop the questions on the form. The Housing Department will aggregate the data received and provide it as a resource to the community.
