For renters and landlords hoping to educate themselves about rental issues, a new resource is now available online. The Jackson/Teton County Affordable Housing Department published a Landlord Tenant Resources toolkit to its website today. The online tool is located under the Information section of www.jhaffordablehousing.org.
The online tool highlights state and federal resources, includes a sample lease agreement, provides information on Wyoming Tenant-Landlord law, and directs those in need to local resources such as the Community Resource Center and Access to Justice. The Jackson Town Council directed the department to provide the resource during a meeting this fall.
“Jackson has never been an easy place to live. After hearing stories from both renters and landlords, the Town Council felt compelled to provide educational resources to those in need,” explained Jackson Mayor, Pete Muldoon.
The Jackson Town Council is set to continue discussions related to residential rental regulations during its February 20, 2018 workshop meeting. A staff report will be made available closer to the meeting date.
The Jackson/Teton County Affordable Housing Department works to stabilize the Jackson Hole community by providing healthy housing solutions. Please visit www.jhaffordablehousing.org for more information about the department and affordable housing in Teton County.
