Spectrum Cable subscribers in Jackson want something to change in the ongoing dispute over the lack of NBC programming, including the Super Bowl, and the Winter Olympics.
Jackson Town Councilmember Jim Stanford asked the Town Council to hold a workshop session today to discuss possible remedies for what Spectrum says is an impasse over the cost of carrying Northwest Broadcasting channels on the local cable franchise.
Northwest Broadcasting has blamed the issue on the Spectrum management and say they tried to negotiate a solution.
Spectrum has a franchise agreement with the Town and Stanford says they want to ensure that provisions of the franchise agreement are being met and that the citizens served by the franchise receive the services pledged through the franchise agreement in exchange for use of the Town’s right of way.
Today’s meeting starts at 3PM.
