Gold Medalist Red Gerard to Join the Rendezvous Spring Festival

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is pleased to announce the addition of snowboard Gold Medalist, Red Gerard to join the 2018 lineup for the 5th Annual Jackson Hole Rendezvous Festival.   At just 17 years of age, Red Gerard, a Cleveland born Colorado-based Slopestyle and Big Air snowboard competitor, has quickly become a rising star. He will be at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort on Saturday, March 17th for a day of fun on and off the slopes.

Saturday morning Red and friends will be doing a Big Air demo on a specially built jump at the top of the Bridger Gondola, from 10 am to noon.  Skiers and riders are welcome to come watch this exciting event, and even non-skiers are welcome to ride the gondola with a sightseeing ticket to view the exposition.  From 1 pm to 2 pm Red will be at the base of the mountain signing posters and mingling with guests at the Mountain Dew Tent.  Then from 4 pm to 5 pm Red will be attending Après at Rendezvous, where he will be again signing posters and enjoying the fun games and festival atmosphere.

Rendezvous is a four-day spring lifestyle and music festival presents concerts on multiple stages in Teton Village and the iconic Town Square in Jackson, WY from March 15-18, 2018.  This year Rendezvous is free of charge for general admission audiences in both town and village venues, and will span two full weekends.   New this year JH Rendezvous expands with a College Rendezvous weekend, March 8 -11, 2018 bringing bands to the stage below the Aerial Tram.

Portugal. The Man will perform in Teton Village on Saturday, March 17th, with Jackson Hole favorite, Michael Franti and Spearhead preceding.  The Teton Village venue will open at 3:00 pm for après ski festivities.  Michael Franti first takes the stage around 5:30 pm, with Portugal.  The Man taking the stage following their set.  This night of celebration will be topped off by an annual fireworks display.  The Friday, March 16th Town Square show will feature the genre-defying The Mavericks with opening act Frankie Ballard.  The afternoons of Thursday, March 15th and Sunday, March 18th will feature “Music under the Tram” in front of the Aerial Tram with The Devon Allman Project with special guest Duane Betts taking the stage Thursday and local Jackson favorite Chanman Roots Band playing Sunday. General Admission is free of charge for all concerts, and VIP tickets with food and beverages amenities to the Friday and Saturday shows can be purchased online.
